Weekly Update

Last week's word count was a bit low at 2417 due to the fact that I've been going into work early since the boss is on vacation, and my daughter was home over the weekend for a family reunion. Since I use her room as my writing space, I got zero accomplished Friday-Sunday. I did manage to do a little editing and I put together a montage for Ben. Goal is to finish up this week, but since the boss is still gone, time is going to be a problem. I had planned on doing the July Camp Nano, but I'm thinking about sitting this one out, due to interruptions that I already know are coming next month. Headphone rewrites are slated for the next project and I'm not sure how well that would work as a Camp project, anyway. See ya next week, hopefully with a better count!

I'm snipping again from Like Cracks in the Sidewalk . I said a few weeks ago that I was changing tense, but as I got farther into the story, I realized the way I'd written it originally does work better. So, although I still have plenty of work ahead of me, it's maybe not as much as I'd imagine.  James and Val met and moved in together, although they never really defined their relationship. It becomes dysfunctional eventually, and James gets hints of it but tries to ignore it. Rainbow Snippets*--More Squirrel Tales

It's been a slow writing week-- I think too much time was spent taking care of Peanut. He appeared to be using his back legs more, but we couldn't get a good feel for it since the "medi hutch" consisted of two bird cages that we wired together. But with a little elbow grease and some scrap lumber, the husband built a squirrel house and we crossed our fingers and released Peanut from his make-shift hospital.  He's moved right in. He scampers up and down the tree, albeit with a slightly awkward gait. We take him treats and there's a water bowl on "the deck". He's quite pampered...  ...and happy! Rainbow Snippets*-- Changing Seasons

 We had snow again this week. Less than an inch and it melted within a day, but it still meant wearing layers and my nose running all day because my work station at the store doesn't ever warm up when it's cold outside. I'm shopping today and I have seeds on my list. Now, to decide what I want to grow this summer!
