It's fair week! As a kid, I was always so excited when the county fair came to town, but it was also bitter sweet because it meant the end of summer was near. As an adult, it means extra work at the store as we do our best to make sure the food stands are well supplied. And there have been years in the past when I worked at different booths, disrupting the rhythm of the entire week. I still get excited by it, though.  So I'm going to go eat a corndog and an elephant's ear, drink a lemon shakeup, and pet a goat. And since I only live six blocks from the grounds, each night I'm going to listen to tractor-pulls, the demo derby, and country singers I'm not familiar with! It's been a busy week. But then again, when is it not? Between the day job and the cookie business, my writing time has been limited. But I did manage to finish a chapter in Fangs for the Memories that was suggested (strongly) by my beta readers. I hope it fills the hole I'd left in the book.  My walking time has been limited, but I've been able to fit a few in. This little one sat long enough for me to get a few pictures!   In this scene, Alex is letting his attention wander instead of listening to his sire. They've had a stressful week and both are grouchy. This week was sort of a bust, writing wise. Baking for the Farmers Market is taking much of my time, and I had out-of-State family visiting. Plus, I was waiting for beta reader feedback.
