"When Silverfish" Won't Download


I finished my edits on When Silverfish Dance. Yeah, me. And then I tried to PDF it. I've been using Google Docs on the recommendation of a friend (who isn't a writer, but she edits her granddaughter's college papers for her). I still write with Microsoft Word, but my version is old and I found it easier to edit on Docs. But now that it's written and edited, I'm having trouble transferring it elsewhere.  So that's a problem. I planned on starting "Cracks" edits this weekend--and I'm still going to-- but maybe I need to find a different writing program. Any suggestions?

I knew this summer was going to be a challenge, and I wasn't wrong. I've had too many irons in the fire and it's felt like everything has gone a little sideways. No major disasters, but enough to feel like it's two steps forward, a step-and-a-half back. I got home from the Rainbow Readers Cruise last weekend—which was wonderful, by the way—but as per the new normal, I tested positive for Covid. I'm supposed to head to Kansas Wednesday for GRL, so fingers crossed I'm testing negative by then. Rainbow Snippets*--Breathe

I don't have words for this last week. So I'm just going to leave it at that. I did go spend the night with my daughter and her partner over the weekend (they live 3 hours away). Sometimes you just need your family.  This weekend's snippet comes from Like Cracks in the Sidewalk . It's 1995. James and Val are taking a walk during the early days of their relationship. Told from James' POV: Val's face was smooth, relaxed. I’d not noticed how tense he normally was until he wasn’t. How had I missed that? Rainbow Snippets*— Bisexual Awareness Month Featuring Fangs for Everything

It's Bisexual Awareness month, and to celebrate I'm going to snip from my books with bisexual characters. I should have started at the first of the month, but there was traveling, accompanied by Covid. 1 star. I do not recommend! Hopefully, my life is going to become more routine once again.  Snipping from Fangs for Everything Young Rollie doesn't know that Alex is a vampire, and as things heat up, Alex is "explaining" some medical conditions that affect him sexually, as it's their first time being intimate.
