Rainbow Snippets*--The Times They Are A Changing
My birthday was this week and it snowed. Which is appropriate because, according to Mom, I was born during a blizzard. Hopefully, this little cold spell is going to be the last of it. Now, to adjust to the time change.
Hopefully, the last snow we'll see for the next nine months!
I'm snipping again from one of my current WIPs, Three Times Better. There's a knock on the door as Chris is changing clothes after a long day at work. He's not happy with the interruption. Note, Chris has just moved back and is staying with his friend Scott as he gets settled:
There was a young man at the
door and he gave Chris a hard glare before pushing past, not waiting for an
invitation. “Scott here?” he asked, swirling around to study the room. What, did he thing Scott was hiding in a corner?
“Not yet.” The guy had turned, ready to search the rest of the house, but Chris's words stopped him.
“Well, crap.” He stilled and the energy he’d radiated when he entered evaporated.

“Do I know you?” Now that he was standing still, Chris got
a good look at him. There was something familiar–
