Rainbow Snippets*—Chugging Along

I'm working on three different projects at the moment. It's probably not the smartest thing to do, because it takes forever to finish anything. But I am making some progress, so I guess I'll count that as a win! 

Where I was a month ago. I alread miss the ocean. 

More from my current WIP, Like Cracks in the Sidewalk. James has just told Molly that he's been given his own column at the newspaper and his first assignment is interviewing Val. It's 1995 and told from James' POV:

Molly’s laugh barked out, attracting attention from the nearest of our fellow guests. “That’s why you took the job! I should have known!”

“Th-that’s not why I’m doing it. Money. Remember? M-more money!”

“Yeah, keep telling yourself that. You like that guy, I can tell.”

“I do not. Hell, I’ve barely ever spoken to him. How can I like someone I don’t know?”

“Yeah, well, I like Kiefer Sutherland and I’ve never spoken to him. But I sure as hell ain’t kicking him out of my bed, should I ever find him there!”

I knew this summer was going to be a challenge, and I wasn't wrong. I've had too many irons in the fire and it's felt like everything has gone a little sideways. No major disasters, but enough to feel like it's two steps forward, a step-and-a-half back. I got home from the Rainbow Readers Cruise last weekend—which was wonderful, by the way—but as per the new normal, I tested positive for Covid. Rainbow Snippets*--Breathe

I don't have words for this last week. So I'm just going to leave it at that. I did go spend the night with my daughter and her partner over the weekend (they live 3 hours away). Sometimes you just need your family.  This weekend's snippet comes from Like Cracks in the Sidewalk . It's 1995. James and Val are taking a walk during the early days of their relationship. Told from James' POV: Val's face was smooth, relaxed. I’d not noticed how tense he normally was until he wasn’t. How had I missed that? I ran my thumb across his cheek-bone, forgetting where we were, and tilted my head as I leaned down to kiss him. He parted his lips without any hesitation, drawing me in, and it was sweeter than any kiss in all of history. The birds chirped their song over our head and the wind rustled the leaves, and yet, the only sound I heard was the small moan Val made at the back of his throat as he pressed against me. Rainbow Snippets*— Bisexual Awareness Month Featuring Fangs for Everything

It's Bisexual Awareness month, and to celebrate I'm going to snip from my books with bisexual characters. I should have started at the first of the month, but there was traveling, accompanied by Covid. 1 star. I do not recommend! Hopefully, my life is going to become more routine once again.  Snipping from Fangs for Everything Young Rollie doesn't know that Alex is a vampire, and as things heat up, Alex is "explaining" some medical conditions that affect him sexually, as it's their first time being intimate. But Rollie misunderstands and things almost end before they begin. Told from Alex's POV:     “ Y ou’ve done this before, right?” [Rollie asked.] Again, there was that embarrassed flush.  “Had sex?
