Rainbow Snippets*—Almost There!
I hit the editing hard last week and worked on formatting yesterday. Projected release for Like Cracks in the Sidewalk is Wednesday. I probably should wait, what with American Thanksgiving on Thursday, but honestly, I just want it out there!
The official cover for Like Cracks in the Sidewalk!
A little trip down memory lane. Told from James' POV:
"Remember when we drove
up to Dallas
for the State Fair?” Val asked.
How could I forget? That was during that first summer before the drugs and alcohol became more important than our time together. For three days, we listened to local bands and ate fried things on sticks. It’d been a spur-of-the-moment adventure and we’d not been able to get a motel room, so we found a small strip mall and parked behind it. We slept in the back of my truck on an air mattress we bought at a local sporting goods store with our clothes on in case we were discovered. We’d held hands under the blanket as we talked, and imagined the unseen stars veiled by the city lights.
