Rainbow Snippets*-- Changing Seasons

We had snow again this week. Less than an inch and it melted within a day, but it still meant wearing layers and my nose running all day because my work station at the store doesn't ever warm up when it's cold outside. I'm shopping today and I have seeds on my list. Now, to decide what I want to grow this summer!

First signs that spring is right around the corner-- rhubarb and tulips.

This week's snippet from Headphones:Fall Out continues from last week, part 2 of 3. Richard is admitting to Bets that she was right about his brother. Read Part 1 here:

“Scoey spent the night Saturday.”
Bets was confused. “Scoey spends the night at your place all of the time.” Usually, it was when he’d had too much to drink. It was easier to pass out on the couch of the upstairs apartment instead of staggering the block to his bed at The House.
A dusty-rose flush covered his cheeks, barely visible under the soft stubble that covered his jaw. “Not in Jay’s bedroom. With Jay.”
“Oh...Oh!” By Richard’s expression, Bets wasn’t sure if he was upset or still in shock. “You’re sure? I mean…”
Richard focused on the thick patchwork quilt beneath them, tugging at a loose string. “It was obvious.”
